How Do I Start Making My Own Web Sites - Without Hiring A Web Designer!

I assume you're reading this article because you're trying to figure out how to make a website, right?  Well I'm a freelance web designer and, if you were to hire me, I would charge anywhere between $600 and $1500 to design a small to medium size web site. Plus $40 per hour for any changes or updates. And my rates are low because I work out of my home office. So it could get expensive, good for me, not so good for you. So what's the answer? Become your own web designer! It's not as hard as you might think. In fact there are really only 3 things you need to to create your own website.

1 A Domain Name

Getting a domain name is easy and its cheap, less than $10 per year. I use Godaddy.com  A lot of the hosting companies will give it to you for free when you use them to host your website.

2An Internet Service Provider to host your website.

With literly 1000's to pick from it can make your head spin so I published this site with 10 of the best hosting companies that I belive will more than suite your needs. I've been publishing website since 1997 and have used more than a few hosting companies over the years. Click Here to visit site

3Software/html editor to make your website.

I started out with FrontPage then I used Dreamweaver and still do for some projects.  The only problem with these programs is they are not easy to learn and can take a long time before you start publishing profesional looking websites. Plus there not cheap.

What I've been using since 2004 is XSitePro and is really easy to learn and easy to use. Plus they just came out with the 2nd version and its nothing short of amazing. I used XSitePro V2 to create this website in less than a hour. You can get all the details by clicking here.
